shep
I love the PSX dual shock ripoff-ness of the controllers too
SteveW
I saw one of those on a pirate game console site, but it was black. I'd probably soil myself if I came across one of those in person.

I did more then soil myself when I just seen the photo, I want it but maybe like other clones the box cover image is not what you get inside the box. shep - The PSX dual shock ripoff controllers shown on the box cover I bet are not what you get inside. I would love too see what the real thing looks like, I bet a cheap sega controller knock-off.
else
First a dental device and now this! The Jaguar case design sure has taken on a life of it's own....
SteveW
The text on the box looks Korean. So, all we need is for an Atari Age member to go over there and buy a case or two for us.
SteveW
Here we go, I found some pictures of another Famiclone using a modified Jaguar case. The page is here.
justclaws
Hello, The text on the box looks Korean. So, all we need is for an Atari Age member to go over there and buy a case or two for us. I think our man is "SouthKorean", who happens to be a Jaguar fan!I'll drop him a PM - his last thread was "how do I turn off my Jag CD". Cheers, JustClaws. Stone
They are Korean, they turned up a while back Not the same plastic mould though - look at the dome, too small. Also the Jag has no flap on the cart port. Just another ripoff, albeit a cool one Stone

Just another ripoff, albeit a cool one A rip-off. Of what? The Jaguar case isn't a cheap design to injection mould. Fins! The Jag wasn't successful enough to have somebody clone the case to make people think it's the "cool Jaguar". Why would they? To me, holding a Jag in my left hand, near the screen, at the same angle, the console case looks the same to me. Remove that JagCD and take another look. I'd like to get one! That unit may not even take carts - so the "flap" is a cover only. Cheers, JustClaws.
galax
Edit: sorry didn't mean to post on an old thread, clicked here from a more recent discussion and didn't notice the age! There have been tons of cheap knock-off consoles in Asia for over 25 years. Most run Famicom or SNES carts, despite the fact that they look like Megadrives, Famicoms, a PC keyboard (this is my favourite, I bought one in China: Subor SB-486D https://helloacm.com/the-childhood-memory-subor-famicom-clone-sb-486d-xiao-ba-wang/ ), and apparently also the Jaguar. If it was made in the mid/late '90s the Jaguar may have still been talked about enough for someone to knock out a similar case. I very much doubt that it runs Jaguar carts (it seems to come with a light gun!). Edited October 26, 2014 by galax
Moo
This is pretty neat. Would be a nice thing to own if you didn't want an official NES.
Felyx
It is from South Korea if I remember well. Funny that the copy of Jaguar system shell has an anti dust door in front of cartridge port... If you like this kind of things you will find many more monsters here: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/korea/appendix-consoles3.htm Edited February 15, 2015 by Felyx
