Retsa
Quite a while back, I discovered a DOS executable game that was basically Adventure, but with a twist: Once you made it through the blinking black bar to the game's credits (via the well-known Easter egg), there are lots and LOTS of extra screens to explore. I never fully explored the new territory, and now I think I would like to. Does anyone know what program I am talking about? Info would be appreciated. It was a very cool idea, and reminded me of the "secret" passageways that can be wandered in the white castle (with use of the bridge). StanJr
You are talking about Indenture by Craig Pell. Its a great game and VERY VERY big. Somebody has a link here somewhere... stan
Retsa
Found it, thanks. Now I'm having difficulty getting to the extra rooms, heh. I know I did it before... but all I'm finding past the black bar is a dead end, and using the bridge to move up / down from there just leads back to the blue maze. StanJr
go to the dead end off right from the hidden hedge maze, this will take you to the larger, outer kingdom
Paul Slocum
I installed Indenture and it's really cool, but it runs way too fast. Any ideas? -Paul
Atari-Jess
look for a program called moslo it will slow down the dos program up to 99 percent or whatever you want it to run at!
MagMax667
Does anybody have a link to a place where I can download the game?
StanJr
I'm digging it up.... Here is where I got it from. Halfway down the page Enjoy!
Paul Slocum
Moslo caused it to be a little jerky, but slowed it down to a playable speed. I had heard about Indenture but I didn't realize it had an expanded world. This is cool. -Paul
moycon
Wasn't someone going to start an Indenture webpage a few months back? Did it ever materialize? Ive got Indent on my lap-top but never got very far in it. There was a thread here for awhile where people were really getting into Indenture and I thought they were joking there was so much too it. It sounds awesome.
Chuck Gill
I started playing this last night and managed to get as far a finding the green key. I did find a version 1.7 on VGR's website. You can get it at http://www.clark.net/pub/vgr/indent17.zip -Chuck
StanJr
Yeah, yeah, I got the maps and other goodies sitting here in my computer, but I am an idiot when it comes to websites and such so its idle right now. There is another cat doing maps too, perhaps he can trump me on this. Techno-dummy Stan
