Cool, shame it's not on the GC too. How's the Metal Slug on GBA? I saw it in the store but didn't pick it up.

*SIGH* I wish I could get Metal Slug 4 & 5for the Neo Geo at that price... or anything under $250 each. What a GREAT set of games. I'm really happy to see that gamers all over the planet will be able to play these on their (inferior) PS2 and XBOX systems :-)

Ive been trying to find the first (3) used for a bit now. Now I get to play 4&5 on my xbox. That should be a nice adition while waiting for the first price drop of the next generation. I wonder if they will have anything extra like 3 did?

I dont know but what i do know is 50$ is a steal for those two i wonder if these one's will be as strict with lives as 3 was i still havent beaten that final level and dont think i ever will.

I bought them both in full kits for around $70 each. Or are you talking AES carts?

If they are like three, they will sell for less than $50 new. 3 sold for less when it shipped. $39 I think is what it originally went for. Even more reason to get the game.

Man my heart just skipped a beat you know i hate how most gamers hate 2-d but i do love the prices that developers are forced to put so people but them. So ikm happy and angry at the same time

Cool, shame it's not on the GC too.  How's the Metal Slug on GBA? I saw it in the store but didn't pick it up.

 

It's very cool. It looks just like it does on the Neo Geo/Neo Rage. I believe the levels are original, not just lifted from previous Metal Slugs. There's no blood in the game. I didn't search to see if there's a code to turn on the blood. They give you a health bar that runs down instead of one shot kills like in the arcade. When your health bar gets to zero it's game over. I like this much better than how it is in the arcade.. I think picking up hidden food items raises it. There are continues and I think you can continue 3x. There's 3 game saves. It's pretty hard, at least for me it is. I only play it in short doses because I get frustrated with it. It's not so easy you'll blow through it in a couple days. It requires some finger dexterity to manipulate the tiny buttons on the SP when you need to jump and fire/throw grenades at the same time or fighting bosses. I got it on sale 1/2 off at Kmart for $15.

Thats always a problem i had with fast games on the gba the bottons are to small and my hands are to big. This problem haunted me to no end with xivous.
