Ok - It appears the 'cracked' version of Wavy Navy is alot easier than the original - Attached in a .atr from atarimania.com that should be used to play in this contest - If you are using a real machine and the helicopters DONT Fire then it is the WRONG version - Sorry for any confusion - Thanks atarimania for the clarification.

4530 with the right version - Damn those helicopters are tough! My screenshot shows the helicopters shooting so that should give everyone a good indication on the version to use.

The other version is so watered down I wonder if it wasnt a pre-release or something???

Anyhow,

Onward!

I know that this is going to sound dumber than dirt, but here goes:

How do you get the screenshots that are posted here?

Can a screenshot be obtained from a REAL Atari?

The only emulator that I use is PCXformer 3.8.

Is there any way to obtain a screen shot from that?

Thanks for your time.

Wow, you need to get off that POS emu ;)

I would download Atariwin3.1+ or 4.0beta - alot nicer, faster and more compatible.

If PCXformer runs in a window you can always hit CTRL+PRTSCN or ALT+PRTSCRN, go to Paint and paste the image in there - thats how I do my screenschots.

7900

Finally got in a groove - the last level I was on had double mines, double helis and the missile - talk about havoc!

I also hit a key after the game and saw the options screen - cant imagine playing this on the 'hard' setting ;)

A few hints/tips - Ive found the choppers are predictable in where they launch from - ie, if one comes on the RH side of the screen and you die (or get back to the same level) - it will start on the RH side of the screen again. This should help in your planning a bit :)

Unfort - at the level I got to the choppers were coming down boh sides 2 at a time - I was toast :D
