Alex
As far as I know, they are not available anywhere. The prototypes are owned by Intellivision Productions, and they have stated that they can't release them because of copyright violations. I don't know if they've even been dumped, much less made it into anyone's hands. I don't know if they'll ever be released to the public, unfortunately. StanJr
Does anybody know where I can find the two AD&D games ROMs? This site doesn't have them (and you never want to type AD&D into a search engine.)
Alex
I imagine they would release them if they could, since they've already released two games that they did own the rights to. More than likely it would be TSR/Wizards of the Coast that would prohibit the project, but that's just speculation on my part. But you're right, it would be nice. I got to play them in '99 at CGE, and they were pretty cool games.
StanJr
Thanks. Its too bad. I'd be interested to see how they were able to transfer the magic of the RPG to such a simple console. Can anyone speak as to the play format?
Rhindle The Red
Could anyone contact TSR/Wizard of the Coast/Hasbro and ask them about the release of the ROMs? The Garfield release agreement could be pointed to as a precendent.
ratfink
I wish they would. I have both of those games for the Intellivision and they are both great. I've been playing Treasure of Tarmin for the last 2 weeks. They're also both pretty complex games so I'd be curious just how far they got on the 2600 platform. orion105
We should all write Wizards of the Coast about the D & D games. I'm surprised they would even care about it anymore. Maybe they could do a joint deal. In order to preserve it, we should at least try to write them.
