Luigi301
My 7800 has a problem. If I put in a 2600 cart, I get a blank screen, much like that when you have no cart plugged into a 2600. I don't know anything about repairing or diagnosing 7800s, and I have no 7800 carts to test it with. I know the 2600 cart works because it plays in my 2600. Bruce Tomlin
Hard to tell without trying a 7800 cart, but it could be a bad TIA. That would also cause 7800 games (except Ballblazer and Commando) to have no sound. If you don't mind opening things up, and if you're lucky enough to have a 7800 with a socketed TIA, you could try swapping with one from a known good 2600. It's the 40-pin chip in the 2600, and the similarly numbered 40-pin chip in the 7800.
