Wrathchild
Hi, Does anyone have (or can make) a CAS dump of one of the Brian Howath title? I have a couple of the tapes in my parents loft - but thought I'd ask before hunting around and then trying a WAV2CAS myself. All of the downloadable images I've seen have are just EXEs of the game part. With the tape versions an intro was shown with the pieces of the '8' flapping about to join up in making the 'Channel 8' title. Pretty lame, but I'd like to put it on a menu-cart with all of this series of games. Cheers, Mark
www.atarimania.com
We have some of the Mysterious Adventures and are planning CAS dumps but I can't tell you when exactly... What titles do you have? Those truncated executables suck and I agree it would be great to have the complete collection as original tape images BTW, does anyone have cassette files of the UK versions of the Scott Adams text adventures? -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com
Atarigrub
I successfully converted the Channel 8 Software title screen from cassette a few months back as I've started adding the Brian Howarth adventure games to www.ataricave.com. Please find links below for the Title Screen as a stand-alone file, plus as CIRCUS.CAS with its attached game file. http://www.ataricave.com/CIRCUS.CAS http://www.ataricave.com/CHANNEL8.CAS Cheers AtariGrub http://www.ataricave.com
Wrathchild
Thanks Atarigrub! I had some issues loading the CAS file into A800WinPlus, so I hacked the binary into an executable (XEX) instead, taking the opportunity to turn the JMP to the next stage loader routine into an indefinite loop instead.
