Rom Hunter
As for Splendour are you saying On Base is in fact Bomb or am I misreading you? No, you're not. Take a close look at this label: http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=1005 Edited September 19, 2005 by Rom Hunter

Marco
The company is called "Action Hi-Tech", the label under which they released their games is "Hi-Score" All games from 24 and above were never released AFAIK. "Lipstick Plus" might refer to a (voice) controller, which was actually released. Cheers, Marco
Foxsolo2000
So the Telegames Dungeon Master wasn't Venture then? I thought that the voice controller never got off the drawing board. You saying that they actually released games for the thing? You truly are the man in the know. Care to share any further information on the subject? Foxsolo2000
That isn't an official Atari release is it? Was it released in Europe, the Uk or the USA? Are there many games available for it? By the way thank you Marco
Marco
It's an official US release from a firm called Access (see picture). It's just a controller, not something that has special carts for it. Cheers, Marco Edited September 20, 2005 by Marco
Foxsolo2000
So what games could it be used on? Was it the same principle as the Atari project in which any game could be played by saying the movement into the microphone?
sku_u
If you ever decide to sell that controller, PM me.
Foxsolo2000
Rom discovered the identity of War Zone by Action High-Tech. it is in reality MASH by 20th Century Fox. I will let you know if I discover the identity of any more.
YOK-dfa
I probably have a Plug Attack (sounds like a Mystique game to me ) on the way to me, so when i get it, i can tell you which game it is...
A.J. Franzman
The pics added are of European Pal releases. King Arthur was Dragon Fire by Imagic, Asteroid Belt was Assualt by Bomb and Boom Bang was Crackpots. I added the last as it possessed a label that I again have not come across before. 933376[/snapback] Those are "Taiwan Cooper" carts, so-called because the title text is printed in the font called "Cooper Black", and the only identification on the carts is "MADE IN TAIWAN" molded onto the back. They are definitely not Quelle, boxes for these have absolutely no maker identifying info. Various lists online call them by "Cooper Black" or just "Cooper", but "Taiwan Cooper" seems to be the best descriptive name until someone comes up with evidence of the actual name of the maker (if ever). crunchysuperman
That Lipstick controller was originally released in the US by Access for the C64 game Echelon. All it did was replace the fire button with a microphone. The marketing showed these kids speaking "fire!" into the mic, but in fact, it would respond to any sound that it picked up - it was basically useless. After a time, it was no longer even bundled with the game, as it was never required for gameplay in the first place. I have no idea if it was released elsewhere in the world, or if it was also released as an official 2600 controller. It would certainly work - they have the same pinout, but I don't think they ever pushed an Atari "version". Could be wrong about that though. Can you imagine some kid playing Space Invaders with that thing? "fire . . fire . . fire . . fire . . fire . . fire . . fire . . fire . . fire . . fire . . Rom Hunter
Access Software was famous for the following C64 hits: Beach-Head Beach-Head II: The Dictator Strikes Back! Raid Over Moscow Leaderboard Golf The Echelon was made in 1987 and included The Lip Stik Plus: Edited September 21, 2005 by Rom Hunter

Rom Hunter
The one on the left certainly looks like Challenge from Zellers: http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=349 My guess is that Plug Attack is the same game as Plaque Attack from Activision. BTW do you know if those labels are generic and are used for more games? Rom Hunter
I think they're generic. The only thing I know is that the left label was not made before 1984. Edited September 21, 2005 by Rom Hunter
Foxsolo2000
Nice find Yok-dfa. Where did you get them from? The one on the left certainly looks like the Challenge one I had too. Rom any idea where the labels originally came from? By the way Rom I have added another interesting label. I dont have this version of Paris Attack in my collection, the one third from left at the top. Rom Hunter
By the way Rom I have added another interesting label. I dont have this version of Paris Attack in my collection, the one third from left at the top. The Black Hole, Astrowar and Paris Attack on your picture are most probably Double-Game Package titles. The other side of the manual papers are probably written in Dutch. The Paris Attack cartridge shown here is normal sized, but with a small label. Here's an example of a (Double-Game Package) normal and short version of Base Attack: Here's my Double-Game Package list: Air Patrol/Paris Attack (Air Raiders/M.A.D.) 746381 Asteroid Belt/Mariana (Assault/Seaquest) Astrowar/Black Hole/ (?/Cosmic Ark) Base Attack/World End (Z-Tack/?) 781778 Boom Bang/Motocross (Cracpots/?) 781393 Fox & Goat/Pygmy (Nuts/Lock 'n' Chase) 311377 King Arthur/Lilly Adventure/ (Dragonfire/Lilly Adventure) 600273 Lilly Adventure/River Raid II (Lilly Adventure/Sea Hawk) 781644 Motorcross/See Saw (Enduro/Circus Atari) 649635 Modern Night/? (?/?) Mr. T/My Way (Fast Eddie/Challenge) 781627 Netmaker/? (Keystone Kapers/?) Panda (Quest)/Sky Diver (Panda Chase/?) 550425 Space Raid/Space Robot (?/?) 550324 Space Channel/? (?/?) Star Force/UFO Patrol (?/Space Jockey) 649620 Flippern/Volleyball (Video Pinball/RealSports Volleyball) 781698 Other (maybe Double-Game Package) games: Hot Wave (Ram It) Scorpion (Assault? Plaque Attack?) As you can see, there are still some question marks left. Any additional info is welcome! Marco
I think your list is complete, you can leave out the following: Modern Night/? (?/?) Netmaker/? (Keystone Kapers/?) Space Channel/? (?/?) Hot Wave (Ram It) Scorpion (Assault? Plaque Attack?) I've seen Modern Night, Netmaker, and Scorpion as regular single games. Hot Wave sounds like one of those weird Homevision titles that didn't come in the cool white case. Space Channel is new to me. Cheers, Marco
