Albert
Thanks to the fine folks at Invision, the forum's search engine is now working properly. While single-word searches were working fine, multiple-word searches (which are often the most useful given how many messages we have here) did not return usable results. This has now been remedied, so you can now search for multiple words (such as Cuttle Cart). If you want to search for multiple terms, be sure to prefix a plus sign (+) in front of each search term. For instance, +cuttle +cart +high +score +cart The above searches will return posts that contain all of the search terms. If you don't include the plus sign, a boolean OR search will be performed, meaning that posts containing any of the search terms will be returned (meaning you'll get many more results, especially when using a word like "cart"). If you notice any problems, please let me know. ..Al

Christophero Sly
I'm still not having any luck using quotes to search for phrases.
Albert
I'm still not having any luck using quotes to search for phrases. 895958 Yes, this is still broken, but Invision is investigating and I'm confident they'll have a fix for it shortly. ..Al

Albert
Thanks Al; works great! 896007 I should have put in a trouble ticket some time ago for this particular problem, but at least it's fixed now. I know I had been stymied a few times when trying to search for old threads. Being able to search for just a single word when you have over 800,000 posts to dig through doesn't always cut it! And props to the Invision guys for troubleshooting the problem and fixing it. ..Al
kisrael
Not to sound ungrateful, but I don't suppose they might change the default to "and" rather than "or"?
