Trip_Cannon
Not to pick on your list Mr. Kizza, but you'd call Dracula: The Undead an arcade adventure?
Emehr
Based only on the titles I actually own. davidcalgary29
I don't think it's fair to compare Alpine Games with other titles, as it outclasses them all in terms of its technical achievements. I think we'll have to wait for the next "next generation" Lynx title so that we can place it in its appropriate context. I'm surprised that no one's mentioned Loopz as a prime puzzler. It's very addictive! Also underrated: Lexis and Electrocop. Edited July 25, 2005 by davidcalgary29
xubidoo
id agree that ALpine games easily surpasses other Lynx titles in Technical/gfx depts ,but and im prob the only 1 who thinks this ,but imo it just isnt much fun to actually play. unlike Cal games i just dont have any urge to try and beat my scores. Dont get me wrong im glad it was made and it just shows wat the Lynx is capable of,but it isnt a game i can see myself going back to very often. Electrocop was actually my 1st lynx game i bought and completed,at the time i thought the gfx was stunning, great game. bergbros2
Problem with these lists is that some games are not easy to classify (Rampart in arcade, puzzle? Roadblasters, Arcade or Driving? Rygar, side scroller, platformers arcade?) and some classifications are kind of suspect (Arcade Adventures? Dracula in Arcade Adventures? Uh huh?) I'll just keep the categories as simple as possible: Arcade Classics- 1. Klax 2. Joust 3. Rampart Sports- 1. Awesome Golf 2. European Soccer Challenge 3. Jimmy Connors Tennis Multiplayer- 1. Warbirds 2. Checkered Flag 3. Battlewheels/ Xenophobe Driving 1. Checkered Flag 2. S.T.U.N. Runner 3. Road Blasters Puzzle 1. Shanghai 2. Lemmings 3. Chips Challenge Beat Em Up Fighters (Best of a bad lot) 1. Double Dragon 2. Ninja Gaiden 3 3. Ninja Gaiden Shoot em ups- 1. Zarlor Mercenary 2. Raiden 3. Gates of Zendocon Flying- 1. Blue Lightning 2. Desert Strike 3. Steel Talons Platformers 1. Slime World 2. Toki 3. Scrapyard Dog Again, this was hard becasue I could put any number of these games in other categories. I just tried to chose the best in what I thought was traditional genres.
JagFan422
i wouldn't class Steel Talons and WarBirds as first person shooters, i'm pretty sure they would be flight sims. I don't own that many games to make a list like everyone else.
