FB2 Difficulty switches

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I love the FB2 but determining whether the difficulty switches are on A or B is really a pain. Has anybody done anything to their FB2 to help out in this regard (LED perhaps)?

On a related note, my friend bought an FB2 on my suggestion and called me the first night, complaining that no flying saucers were coming out in Asteroids! (diff. needs to be on A for this to happen) My fear is that most novice users (with the sparse users guide) won't know about this and will think the Atari version doesn't have them. :( Maybe a supplemental addition to the instructions to point this out?

Hey!

When I did my cart port mod, I actually took out the springs for the switches so you can tell what state they are in (there's only a slight difference in height, but you can see it.) Depressed is 'B', Released is 'A'.

Hope this helps.

Bob
