Red 5
I'm selling my NES stuff on Ebay. One of the items is a big lot with 120 games. I take Paypal and Money Orders only. I get a question yesterday that simply says: "Can't I pay by cash?" I write back telling him no, because there is no way to track the money. It is safer, mostly for him, to no pay by cash in the mail. I also said that it would probably be a little risky to shove a couple hundred dollars into an envelope and mail it. Here is the response: What do you need a receipt for? I've paid in cash by mail lots of times, and it's never been lost. The only problem I've had is that a couple of auctioneers promised to ship the item after finding the payment, but never did.

adams_ale
Did you bother telling him that sellers not shipping their items is a good reason to not pay by cash? I would tell him that he could pay by cash, but there is a 40% chance that he may not get his item.

Teach the idiot a lesson. Unfortunately, good Steve usually wins out. (Ruins all my fun.) What moron shoves a few hundred bucks in an envelope and hopes for the best? After the last e-mail, I just ignored him. What else can I say? If he hasn't figured it out yet from his previous experiences, he never will. The guy could get an award for his responses too. Unfortunately CPUWIZ, you ruined your surprise. That was going to be my Christmas present to you. I figured everyone gets you Atari stuff, so I figured you would like something different like a nice pair of leather pants. Oh well.

It's okay, you can say it. We're all friends here. You're a rock star, aren't you?

diggs130
I dont think as a seller I'd worry about a cash payment as what recourse does the buyer have on you?Im in the states and paid cash (sent) to my American and Canadian sellers myself(my lose if it dont make it,but if the feedbacks good I'll trust them). And paypals a joke if you get ripped off in my opinion! And Im a stickler on money orders to I send them out priority with delivery confirmation. just my 1/2 a cent worth~ And on another note we just sold a pair of those same pants at my wifes garage sale for just 5.00(they were her stepfathers).I told her not to,Oh well life goes on Edited October 30, 2005 by diggs130
Red 5
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESO%3AIT&rd=1 This was the auction in question. So just to be clear... You would put $361.00 CASH (+ shipping) into an envelope and mail in to a complete stranger? But on to more important things... How much would it cost to get CPUWIZ dressed in leather and posted here on AA ?
