What classic games do you want on the A8

For me these would be cool enough:

JACK THE NIPPER (1 or 2)

CABAL

BARBARIAN 2

SKOOL DAZE

LAST NINJA I - III (superb classic game!)

IRON LORD

DEFENDER OF THE CROWN (real one, not "WLADCA")

GHOST N' GOBLINS

MICROPROSE SOCCER (there's lack of nice and full playable soccer on A8)

so... everybody can dream of something... unreal... :D

Hmm,

I would like to see:

- Super Mario Bros. clone

- Sonix clone

- R-type clone

- Prince of Persia clone (meaning part 1 for the old 386 and 486 Pc`s, programmed by the same guy as Karateka)

- some F1 racing game (maybe like a "checkered flag" type from the Lynx) with realistic/realtime opponents (no random computer opponents), tournement mode, approx. 8 tracks, point system (like in a F1 race)

greetings, Andreas magenheimer.

Agreed, I'd moreso like to see direct ports of Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3, and perhaps the SMS Sonic games (would the A8 be capable...?).

Some other games that would be cool would be some of the Final Fantasy titles. Not the 8-bit ones, I mean like the stuff that's out for SNES. I hear the A8 is capable of 256 colors on-screen, but I imagine that takes a ton of power, so an RPG would be perfect (they were the SNES's claim to fame, since it couldn't match the Genesis' faster hardware). No mode-7, though...too bad...but imagine the once sample-based music revised for POKEY, that'd be awesome...

Some other games I think would be cool on the A8:

-Metroid (never really liked Turrican, I played the Genesis version...but I'll take this anyday)

-Bee-52 (or was it released...? I know there's a C64 port)

-Space Harrier

-Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers (the NES one)

-A 3D game! Doom or something...don't care if it's in 2 colors, just so long as it's fun. That would be awesome.

Somebody else had mentioned "Shadow Of The Beast" and I agree. I'd also like to add another Psygnosis title that shouldn't be that hard to do.

Blood Money

I think a well done 2 player co-op mode in this game for the 8bits would be great!

Heck, why'll I'm at it, let me add one of me and my sons favorite 2 player games, Twisted Metal 2 from the original Playstation. That would rule as well. :-)

Were there ever any 'God' games on the A8 - e.g. Populus / Meglomania?

I guess this genre would be a bit limited due to lack of working RAM

for all the characters & terrain attributes, but something maybe possible.

Hm... MegaLoMania.... great stuff.... on the AMIGA ;)

About the "64K" does it really matter today? What about bank-switching, mega carts... usb drives (up to 2 gigabytes of ram in a flash-card) ...
