godzillajoe
In Videodrome (I just watched it the other night for the first time in ages) there are some 2600 joysticks and boxes for Combat and Air-Sea Battle on top of the TV
Vic George 2K3
The movie Vice Versa (another Freaky Friday clone, that one having Fred Savage and Judge Rheinhold) had Judge playing 2600 Space Invaders at a TV display in some building. Sayton
Well it's not a movie, but I was watching an old tape that had lots of cartoons recorded on it from the 80's. On one of the commercials (I can't remember what it was) this child was doing something. Under his TV was an Atari 2600. Think it was a 4-switcher. I think it had something to do with children and books but I can't remember.
AtariLover!
I think Mike TeeVee was playing an Atari 2600 in Charlie and the Chocalate Factory, but clearly not a 2600 game! If you mean the 1971 version, it coule not be possible since the atari 2600 was released in 1977. But if you mean the 2005-06 version, it could be possible. I looked at the 2005-6 version (I have the dvd), and it was a 2600, a vader (no wood color; all black). The joystick was wrong too (unless it wasn't the original). The 1971 movie you're thinking of was entitled Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory -- so it's pretty clear what RickHarrisMaine was referring to, even without knowing the exact year it was made.
