Hi All

Just was wondering if Miner 2049er II was the same as Bounty Bob Strikes Back on the Commodore 64? I have a feeling BBSB was the Miner 2049 sequel on the C=64.

I have Miner 2049er and before i go off in a probably fruitless search for the sequel, I would like to know if it would be worth the hunt

I loved BBSB on the C=64...it was a great game and the cause of a lot of lost sleep in my younger days

So how about it? They the same or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Cheers All

Mark

Miner and Miner II for the 2600 are really six levels from the "real" miner for the Atari 400/800, 5200, and C64 (amongst other systems). Miner has levels 2, 3, and 10 while Miner II has levels 9, 7 (sort of), and 8. Levels 1, 4, 5, 6 were ommited.

Now to make things even more confusing, there is another Miner II for the Apple IIe, but that has nothing to do with either the 2600 Miner II or BBSB. It's another set of 10 levels which are kind of interesting.

There's a Miner website somewhere that shows all the different versions of Miner out there.

You hit the nail on the head, Tempest -- 2600 Miner I and II are just parts one and two of the original computer version.

The levels had to be split up thus, because the 2600 obviously has less memory for scenery than a 48K or 64k computer.

Bounty Bob Strikes Back is an EXTREMELY DIFFICULT sequel, although it follows the same "rules" as the original. I have it for the Atari 8-bit, and let me tell ya, I've never played a more difficult platform classic in my life!
