bowser724
This game is so fun. You control a little cursor thing, and you have to encircle and engulf cosmic particles with a trackball.
NE146
It's also the "Quadrun" of the arcade collecting world I don't think it was overlooked too much.. it was just a rare game to find. It certainly isn't overlooked now though, good luck finding one for less than a couple grand
Cassidy Nolen
Yeah, I agree. Its a holy grail of sorts for arcade guys. I know of a Quantum that was converted to a Street Fighter. Needless to say I was upset but it wasn't mine (yes I looked inside to see if the board was there....no such good fortune). At least the sideart was still good and somebody "could" piece it back together (cheaper to buy some sports cars, but hey, could be done). bowser724
A Quantum machine converted to a Street Fighter?? Wow! Must've replaced the PCB AND the monitor then, because Quantum was a vector game.
Albert
Ahh, Quantum--I think I've only saw one of these in an arcade "back in the day" and remember thinking it was quite an odd game. But very original and made great use of the trak-ball. After that, I never saw another one again until a year or so ago when I saw one at one of the various video game/arcade shows I've gone to. Would love to have one of these myself, but I know the odds of that happening are not very good. It's a shame to hear of one being converted to a Street Fighter. Of all the cabinets to use. Too bad you didn't get some pictures of that. ..Al
NovaXpress
I must have been lucky because my arcade had one and I played it frequently. I even got to sign my name with the trak-ball more than once. Quantum is a true arcade treasure.
