Spy Hunter catridge case

Like Tapper, Spy Hunter was also released in two cartridge case variations. There's the Grip Case style and the Standard Case style, which is pictured below.

I find it interesting that the Model Number (011-01) printed on the end label of the Standard Case style Spy Hunter differs from the model number on the end label of the Grip Case variation (011-02). Yet, the model numbers are identical (010-01) for both case variations of Tapper.

The 3-digit number on the left side of the hyphen must be the game ID number. But what about the 2-digit number on the right? At first I thought -01 and -02 identified the two case variations. But Tapper disproves that. Anyone have a theory?
