AtariGuy
If I had to guess after looking at that screenshot on the 4-in-1 cart, I'd have to say it is Pengo?

MattyXB
Its near the same as Pengo. but the grafik is diffrent. Just try the ROM Brick Kick if you have it on Emulator, is the same. I find it a bit better then Pengo. The grafik is not so good, but gameplay is more fun and sound it great. See here some pictures from the gameplay: Peter Penguin Easter Egg Page Same gameplay as Pengo.
Thomas Jentzsch
Peter Penguin (aka Brick Kick) is definitely a hack of Pac-Man. Probably the most clever done one I found yet, but you still recognize the flicker.
MattyXB
But it has nothing from Pac-Man (only this flicker). Totally diffrent gameplay, diffrent game, all is diffrent. I think it has nothing to do with Pac-Man. Play the ROM, and then say its the same as Pac-Man. Noone will trust you.
Nukey Shay
Thomas-- I never noticed that before (though I never played the game much at all). MattyXB-- If it's not a hack, they sure "borrowed" a lot of code "They look so much like the same guy, I would say to one of them 'Do you want an ice cream cone'...both of them say 'Yes'." Yes, but if you compare the code of both games you will find enough evidence. There are large parts of code that are completely identical. Ok, that could mean they borrowed code, but those parts are also located at the very same spot. And all the variables are also at the identical address. The address coincidence proves hacking, because if you only add a single instruction or variable, all following code or variables would have different addresses. So the hacker most probably took the existing Pac-Man ROM and patched his changed code over parts of the Pac-Man code. That must have been a very tough and frustrating work, but still the result is technically a hack, because he didn't disassemble the game to get a source code he could work on. MattyXB
OK, I understand. So someone has make from the ROM Pac-Man a complete new game. You can't not see, that this is Pac-Man, but a part of the code is still inside. Must be a hard work, but I find the game much better then Pac-Man. Maybe Pac-Man is a hack from Peter Penguin? Ok, only joking.

Nukey Shay
Oops... I guess a lot of people's roms folder went up by 51. Anyway, it showed up using Google with ["brick kick" "rom"].
moycon
Yes gameplay is similar Pengo. But the code is Pac-Man!??? Weird. I love the music for Brick Kick... Is it the same for Peter Penguin??
MattyXB
Yes, its the same game, only a diffrent name. Here are all names I know: Brick Kick (never see a cartridge), Home Vision 4 (more a company name with number of the game), Jagd auf Diamanten-Frisco, Jumble Block (on the 4 Game in One), Peter Penguin. You find all on my website, only Brick Kick is missing, never see it. I love the music too. Thats too a reason why I love the game. Nukey Shay
Popcorn - by Hot (just before the disco era). All the notes played in the game are the pitch of the "pops" heard in the song.
MattyXB
I think the song calls Popcorn.
