Snider-man
Oh man, in the U.S., where we list the Month-Day-Year (rather than the European Day-Month-Year), we missed a glorious chance to celebrate classic gaming and computers. Yesterday was June 6, 2002. Written: 6/5/02 That's right. Yesterday was "6502."

Ze_ro
Luckily, 5 years from now we can celebrate June 6th again... after all, the processor is actually a 6507 --Zero

Albert
I'll make a note on my 2007 calendar now. That's one of those things where you slap yourself in the head with a, "D'oh!" I was working with dates a good chunk of yesterday, as I've been working on the UBB6->phpBB2 converter. So I saw the date 6/5/02 quite a bit and it never even clicked. Sigh... ..Al
Chris++
I've always enjoyed flaunting the fact that I was born on January 27th, 1972 -- the exact same day that the very first home game system, the Odyssey, was put into production. So, did you folks celebrate anything on February 6, 2000? CF
Snider-man
2/6/00? You bet your bippy I did. I honestly made an effort to play my 2600 as much as I could all day. Played Warlords with the wife. Beat Dragonstomper. Etc. It was a fun day of geeking out.
Paul Slocum
Since it's 6/5/02 and not 6/5/07, this topic should be moved to the Classic Gaming General section. Please post in the correct section. -Paul
KAZ
And in the year 2600...I wonder if any systems will still work. Wouldn't that be neat? What's that? no I will not be dead, whatcha talkin' bout? I'm thinking...with cryogenics and bologna sandwiches I'll be set for the next 2600 milleniums. My "coffin" will be one huge Atari 2600 (my "stasis" tube, if you will). First thing upon getting out of my tube in the year 2600, is playing a good ol game of RIVER RAID. ubersaurus
Well, yesterday my friend came over and we played my 7800, some Outlaw, some Ballblazer, Joust, Frogs n Flies, Video Olympics, Hat Trick, and a round of Gunfight. It was pretty fun.
