KAZ
OK, I think I found something useful for programming the Atari 2600. Ok, consider if I download DASM 2.02 for MSDOS. Then pretend for a second that I wrote the correct code into this program... How would I THEN make it into a usable format for an Atari emulator? I'm a newbie here, I'm really clueless. Paul Slocum
Say your source file is defender.asm, you would type (at the command line): "dasm defender.asm -f3 -odefender.bin" And it would produce defender.bin, which should work on an emulator. You can also use a one line batch file to make it a little easier. Save the following in a text file as ASM.BAT. "dasm %1.asm -f3 -o%1.bin" Then you'd just type: "asm defender" -Paul [ 06-06-2002: Message edited by: Smart Patrol ]
KAZ
That's actually pretty clear, I almost understand that. If I knew more ms-dos, it would be even better... Thanks for the information, I will slowly try to continue to figure out the very basics of programming for the 2600... I'm further along in my knowledge than I was even last night....
