RangerG
I have been using stock AtariAge avatars for too long. Please explain to me how I can go about finding or having a unique one like so many other people have. I would like something related to the 5200. Maybe a picture of the Atari 5200 box or the 5200 Wico stick (on second thought I don't want an image of a buttplug next to my name whenever I post Anyways -- help! I am member number 63 with 175 posts and considered an Atari pro. I deserve better .
Lemmi
LOL RangerG find a picture you would like shrinked down as an avatar and send it to alex or albert and they will add it for you or you could wait untill the new PPB2 something or another message board to go live and find and add your own avatars as with the new board the pictures are going to be going from 60 to 120 in size
Nukey Shay
Email the mods...but it's no longer necessary with the new board that will be up shortly (since you can point to an addy of a pic).
Albert
You can now upload an avatar yourself if you go to your Profile page. Scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see the Avatar settings that let you upload an avatar directly, or from an existing URL. ..Al
ATARIPITBULL
I have to say that I am a little bit lucky, Alex made mine and posted it up for me without me even asking and I love it.
ubersaurus
I made my own for the shoryuken.com boards a while back, and now I can use it here too ;p
Scooterb23
Uber, love your avatar...looks like a great idea for Super Smash Bothers sequal, My. Game & Watch vs. Sinistar, hahaha that would be great!!
King Asmo
The best way is to just search on google for a graphic you'd like.. shrink it down if necessary, then upload it in the "Profile" section. I got tired of using a stock avatar as well, so I went with this. KA
Big Player
How do you shrink an image? I've got one, but it's file size is 33k . Do I have to look for another? Anyone have any image editing software to recommend? Preferably something I can downlowd free. Thanks, (I am quite ignorant about modern computers.) King Asmo
Any piece of graphical software should do it for you. There's lots of free packages at: www.tucows.com To get my image down to size, tho, I just used the software that came with my scanner. ATARIPITBULL
How do I make my avatar bigger like some of the other people did?
bcprs1
How do I make my avatar bigger like some of the other people did?  You have to create a new one that is bigger in size. All the avatars before were I believe 60 x 60 pixels. Now you can have 120 x 120. Instead of stretching my old avatar out, I just created a new one. Also, the new "stock" avatars are all 120 x 120. If you want your old one to be bigger, you can just use something like Paint and stetch the image out. Unfortunately, it might now look as nice stretched. ATARIPITBULL
Thanks for the info. The Avatar that I have was made for me by Alex so I can't make that one any bigger but I think its time for me to make a new pitbull picture and I will see if I can make it look a little bit tougher.
Albert
How do I make my avatar bigger like some of the other people did? Ahh, didn't Alex create that Avatar for you? You should send him email at alex@atariage.com and see if he can dig up the original image he used to create your avatar. I'm sure he can whip together a larger one for you. ..Al
NE146
Of course no one can beat my Avatar in it's absolute coolness... even in it's regular old form ^___^
Nukey Shay
You don't need to make your avatar bigger than it already is...some things are better done in private.
RangerG
Thank you Alex for shrinking the image. Basic D+D and Atari are two great '80s memories for me!
