darklord1977
i just discovered by accident that the original sega genesis controllers work on the atari 7800...i find they work even better than the joysticks for some games such as galaga..just thought id pass this on
darklord1977
the sega master system control pads work well with the 7800 also ..this is awesome..if your atari controller breaks and u cant find a joystick..plug either one of the 2 sega controllers in and your good to go! and your hands wont cramp up either:)
jaybird3rd
This has been discussed many times before, too. Are you aware that you can search these forums to see if something has already been talked about before starting a new thread about it? accousticguitar
I just made a search and came up with nothing but garbage. Can you play the games which require 2 firing buttons with the Sega Master System controllers?
jaybird3rd
Not without modifying the controllers, unfortunately. There are some instructions on how to do this in the 2600 FAQ; here is a direct link: http://www.atariage.com/2600/faq/?SystemID=2600#sega

darklord1977
you might have to mod the master system controllers for games that use both buttons ...ive always liked the joypads better than the joysticks for some games.
RJ
I tried out the Genny controllers on 7800 Desert Falcon just now & it just shoots continually. That's not how I got my high score, however.
jpfalcon2003
Not without modifying the controllers, unfortunately. jsoper
Everyone should read the FAQs a couple times. They're there for a reason you know.
HammR25
If you want to know what 7800 games will work with the Genesis controllers I'd suggest viewing the thread that lists all the 7800 games that only need one button because that's basically what the 7800 sees the genesis controllers as........a one button controller.
