Changing a Partition Type

crash

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I'm wondering if it is possible to change the last (empty) partition on a drive to a different type without wiping the entire drive. Since I don't have enough drive letters for 20 1gb partitions, I was hoping to use some portion of this drive as a large FAT32 partition or something. Currently, 10gb is partition as what I thought was F32, but it isn't accessible in Magic.

I've seen mention of a program called HDTOOLS.APP that is reported to be associated with HDDriver, although it is not included in my version.

Anything that I try to do with HDDriver warns it will erase the whole drive.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It turns out that it is in the main HDDriver utility program HDDRUTIL and that I was just being stupid.

ICD Utilities won't help in this case since it can't see all of the partitions on this 20gig drive, thus, I can't change the one I want to.

Cheers!
