crash
Greetings, I'm wondering if it is possible to change the last (empty) partition on a drive to a different type without wiping the entire drive. Since I don't have enough drive letters for 20 1gb partitions, I was hoping to use some portion of this drive as a large FAT32 partition or something. Currently, 10gb is partition as what I thought was F32, but it isn't accessible in Magic. I've seen mention of a program called HDTOOLS.APP that is reported to be associated with HDDriver, although it is not included in my version. Anything that I try to do with HDDriver warns it will erase the whole drive. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
firyembers
ICD have a program called ICD format. With this you can just format a partition individually. Whether you will be able to use it if you used another program to initially format and partition the drive i do not know. Best to back everything up to another drive if you can and then try
crash
It turns out that it is in the main HDDriver utility program HDDRUTIL and that I was just being stupid. ICD Utilities won't help in this case since it can't see all of the partitions on this 20gig drive, thus, I can't change the one I want to. Cheers! jens
You can change the partition type but I'm not sure if the data on the other partitions is lost. Maybe you want to have a try using another drive?
