Fröhn
Hi, I have a problem with SIO2PC. It worked with my old PC, but recently I have bought a new one where the motherboard does not have any serial ports anymore, so I bought a PCI card with two serial ports. But SIO2PC is not accepting these. When I select COM3 or COM4 then SIO2PC automatically selects 0x02F8 or 0x03F8 as adress for the UART, but the real adresses of the UART's are 0xB000 and 0xB400 according to Windows. But when I select these adresses manually, SIO2PC complains about a failed loopback test and doesn't work ofcourse. How to solve this? classics
If they are 16550 UARTs you may be able to hex edit the SIO2PC.COM binary to change the base addresses it uses. Try looking at +3390h. If that fails your UARTs might not be 16550 compatible, at least without being placed into 'compatibility mode' somehow. miker
some kind of sio2pc requires some tampering with Xon/Xoff settings of COMs - try these maybe
