There are quite a few more. I'd say there are around 20 that came out of LCC2700 (it's the college course where students used bB for one of their programming projects.)

The programs are available at the following links (scroll down to Atari 2600.) It will take a little effort to track them all down (I haven't got them all yet... too busy to browse through all those pages :( )

There were a lot less than 20. In fact, there were 11 that had names and I put them all on the list. I need to add Superbug (Batari's) and ToneToy and a few more, but only if I get some more replies saying this is a good list to have.

Is that from just the latest class of students, or did it include the students in the previous class, too?

I think it's a great idea, especially if the source code is available so people can see how the game programmer(s) did something.

I'm still working on my game using basic (it currently on hiatus until the next full vesrion Batari basic comes out, the playfield is up as well as

players still need work on missiles though and other things)

(if you don't the game I'm talking about it's my laserman game I'm converting from the game Idid on the TI,minus the speech)

You are forgetting Jumpman, Roadblaster, and F-4, some of the best bB games yet.

Thanks for the compliment. The jumpman game is complete, I just need to rewrite the title song. I've been working on it off and on for a few weeks, hopefully I'll get it done soon. :)

I liked it, I just forgot it is all, I mean there's so many here I think I'm way in over my head.

Relax, I'm just picking on you. Nice list. :)

Any chance for links?

Instead of links, I'd be in favor of a single archive. Each game could have its own directory that contains source, .bin and other relevant files (e.g. includes files, docs, alternate versions.)

Agreed. But then we'd need someone to maintain it. It's a lot more work than just an index. Atari2600Land, you up for it? I've got webspace if you need it. :)

Sure, if I could do maintain it on a weekly or monthly basis-type thing. I've got my own website www.atari2600land.com can I use it for this?

I don't see why not. We don't have one now, and no one is holding a gun to your head to make you do it. ;)

Looks like you've got plenty of webspace. Go for it.

I've been wanting to setup a bB site with code/game library since I found it, but I don't have the webspace and I can't stand freehosts. As OCD as I've become about the language, I think it's safe to say it'll be updated daily if I ever get the chance. Glad to see it's being done.

http://www.atari2600land.com/basic/ | Atari 2600 BASIC Game Archive. Well, here's the first version. I'll be updating this daily until I found most if not all the games made with 2600 BASIC on-line. Edited by atari2600land

That's cool but it's batari BASIC, or bB for short, not Atari BASIC. Not sure why this forum has that name, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the name it'll be released under, and it's easier to use bB to keep it seperate from the craptastic cart released way back when. There actually are a few sites around with source for that abomination.

I'll fix it in tomorrow's update.

When batari BASIC was first released, batari referred to it as the "Atari 2600 BASIC Compiler" (see the "README.txt" file for version 0.1, for example), which is why this forum has the name it does. As I recall, it wasn't until everyone in this forum told him that he should name it after himself (meaning his screen name) that it became known as "batari BASIC." But even so, the compiler executable is still named "2600basic.exe"! :)
