Right now you might think this is yet another rant on how we humans are

destroying the world. But to be honest here, I haven't quite made my

own mind up if we actually are experiancing the effects of global

warming or just one of many changes in the Earths climate. Don't believe

me, just go down to your local natural history museum and talk to them

about the history of weather on this planet. You will certainly know

a hell of a lot more than you know now. But what this really is a hardcore

look at what are options would be if all those doomsday series such as

Mega Disasters, Perfect Disaster, and It could happen tomorrow are right.

That humans have effected the weather so much that these so called

Super Storms could very easily wipe out most of the human popluation.

There is no way I believe this will ever happen. For this very reason.

Humans have survived on this planet for roughly 2 million years, and in

this time we have survived asteriod impacts, giantic volcanic eruptions,

at least 3 mini and 1 great ice ages. Each of those real disasters have

caused extinctions on a grand scale but dispite this we humans still

survive, simply because of our intelligence.

 

I believe if the climate ever goes south and if any of those predictions

ever become reality. I beieve we would use ever resource availible to

save those that we can...to some degree.

 

If any one of you have ever started to read my blog from when I first

started this. You know I write sci fi. Good, bad, so-so that is your

own opion and as far as I am concerned you can keep it to yourself.

I mainly write for my own enjoyment, and lately I have been thinking

about writting a sci fi tale that looks at life 1000 years in the future.

But I am a realist first. It's like sometimes I make friends online. They

stop writting me for whatever reason it's their own damn business. So

I have taken this realistic take at the future and made it so that global

warming is a part iof the back story and the main story takes place

with it's survivors.

 

What did I say survivors? For simply this very reason, if the climate

started to go bad. We are left with only 1 real option, and that is to

move evertything underground and I do mean everything cities, farms you

name it. My premise is that if say the storms are destorying cities,

why not the farms that we all are so dependant upon. Sounds far fetch,

the US Military had the same idea back in the 1950s when it came to

atomic weapons. There are also many locations currently around the globe

where severe weather shelter exists and they are all underground. But

please keep in mind if these stroms are racing across the land. It would

be 1000 times worse on the seas.

 

This next part I know most of you won't like, I just call this a theory.

An educated guess at what will happen next. Given at first the limited

spaces availible at first within these cities I believe that

restrictions will be in place for those who are allowed to enter them.

Restrictions not on race or religion but on the persons criminal history.

IE Gang or crime org., I also believe this will include those even

suspect of any affiation to any terrorist org. It is not out of the realm

of possiblity that those in charge will increase the amount of

restrictions, what I will not say as it could get me banned.

 

Buy I will say this given the theory that limited resources that these

cities will have at first I think they will be more cautious about crime

and desease than any other of societys problems. It is also not unlikely

that they will use expulsion from those cities as a sentence for any

major crime.

 

I also theorize seeing that their cities are virtually crime free that

once that they figured all that has been worth saving has been saved the

cities will close there doors on the world forever. I should say this

world forever. I also believe once the climate has stablized a massive

colonization of other worlds will take place.

 

Why not return to the surface once things has settled down. Think of

the early history of Austraila. When it was being used for most part

as a prison. For generations afterwards most feared if they themselves

ever moved there they would be raped and murdered. But then think of this

on a global scale and it is not impossible to imagine their fears.

 

So what about those left on the surface, facing no support by anyone.

With infrastructure at all I theorize that the world will go mad. Death

will be seen on a scale never seen before. Wars seemly without end,

famine on a global scale, diseases left unstopped, crime lords burning

down entire cities. But humanity will survive, good will out do evil.

With that civialization will have to start over again from squaire one.

 

But like I said all of this is just a theory, and only time will say

if I was ever right. But given the nature of the net I know that this

will out survive me. Will the future be bleak, that is for future

generations to decide.
