Flack's Daily Smack - OVGE -- 48 Hour Countdown!

48 hours from now I'll be in the Marriott Southern Hills Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma, putting the final touches on my table and waiting for OVGE to officially begin. Last night I officially began preparing for the trip. I have a couple of spare plastic 20 gallon tubs that I've begun sorting things into. One's upstairs in the gameroom, the other is out in the garage, and I've been filling the tubs with spare games, consoles, and other bits of electronica to sell this coming Saturday. It's not as much about the money as it is about freeing up some SPACE. I ended up easily filling the two tubs, and I suspect tonight I'll fill at least one or two more. All the things I'm taking could easily be sold on eBay (and probably for more money), but no eBay means no selling fees, no Paypal fees, no auction listings and no shipping. Much less hassle.

 

And don't forget, this Saturday will also mark the debut of my book Commodork. I have no idea how many copies I'll sell this weekend. I'm taking 20 or so, but I'm going to try and not be disappointed if I don't sell them all. Monday, they will go on sale via my website. I'll post again with a link then.

 

I'm also excited about getting to see all my online friends for a day or two. Icbrkr and Phosphor Dot Fossils (from Arkansas), AltairBoy and Pantechnicon (from New Mexico), SteveW and Mezrabad (from Texas), k8track from Illinois and many more are all coming to hang out. It's going to be a great weekend!
