Here's the 4K version of Squares! that was entered in the 2006 Mini Game Competition.

 

Instructions: As the white square, you must avoid the other squares that are bouncing around. Catch the small white square for an extra life. After losing a life (and after a short delay), press the fire button (or wait), to be placed back to the original position near the top-left of the playfield. The white square is bounded by the dotted line. Can you last long enough for the extra square(s) to appear? A good joystick will be very beneficial with this game.

I shrunk this down from the full version of Squares!, which is still a work-in-progress. The full version has more items to catch besides the small white square, and includes features such as invisibility and hyperspace. The squares also start off small, then slowly grow as your score increases. It also has a kid's version, where the bonuses show up more often, and the "enemy" squares move at 50% speed. I need to add a high-score feature, and hopefully create a 2-player version (head-to-head).
