I got Venture today in the mail.It along with a few other games was a gift from my wife.I have never played Venture in the Arcade or on the ColecoVision.I own it for my 2600 and i have the Wolfenstein VCS:The next mission game which is based of Venture.Love them both.With this said i pop the game into my Colecovision and am just amazed.This game is awesome.The Atari version plays very close to what the Coleco one does but the Colecovision one is just so much more impressive.Slightly better graphics,better sounds,and in my opinon better control.You can see the Bow and Arrow your little smiley face is carrying.The monsters have more detail.You can tell what the treasures are.The sound is great.It really sets the mood for you.You feel like you are on a great adventure.Games like this remind me why i love the old arcade games.Simple,fun to play games,that you can really get in to.As i said in a pervious Blog and on the forums at one point or another.Exidy made some great games.
