RSS Bot Posted September 11, 2006 Share Posted September 11, 2006 Last night something wonderful happened. My team, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, won the 2006 NWL Championship! Since I live in Salem, I kinda have no choice but to root for them. The NWL, for those who don't know, is a minor-league baseball league (NorthWest League), consisting of 8 teams. Our major league affiliate (sponsor of sorts), is the San Francisco Giants. This is the third time the team has won the championships since the team started up 10 years ago. We also ended the season with the best record overall at 55 wins & 21 losses.
