RSS Bot
"The Death of PC Gaming" Attention all PC gamers, start saving your pennies now. Based on the above article, it sounds like Microsoft might manage to kill PC gaming. In brief: 1. DX10 will require a DX10 capable graphics card and Vista 2. Indications are DX10 graphics cards will have substantial power & cooling requirements, potentially requiring a bigger power supply 3. Vista will definitely require more RAM than XP, and will probably require more CPU 4. Indications also are DX10 graphics cards will be primarily PCIe, it may be tough to find AGP versions So to play the latest & greatest PC games with all the DX10 graphical bells & whistles you will need: 1. a new OS 2. a new graphics card 3. and, depending on what you have now, a whole new PC Hmm... all of a sudden the PS3 is looking mighty cost effective http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?a...;showentry=2212
