Cybergoth
There's a bug in the Nintendo Realm section: Star Luster is an unsual departure for Namco who, prior to this release, mostly ported their arcade games to the Famicom. => http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=9767
procyon
Good catch Cybergoth, but the truth behind that one is it worked the other way. The Famicom version came first. As reported by KLOV, the Conversion Class for that game is "Nintendo Vs." which Nintendo used to put successful Famicom games in the arcade. Good looking out though. By the way, that was my first issue as the editor. I know it's not substantially different than the past issues (in fact, my goal for my first issue was to make it look exactly like previous issues), but any feedback is welcome. Thanks. Cybergoth
Oh wow, guess I need to pay more attention to the fine print! Excellent issue again. BTW: Are you just straight following the chronological famicom list from the wikipedia, or will you feature U.S. / European only titles as well? procyon
Do you mean this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronological...f_Famicom_games ? Cuz I'm largely responsible for that list. (I couldn't get Procyon on wikipedia, so I took plotor instead, for Procyon Lotor) Essentially I'm using that, but I'm also using http://www.geocities.jp/f_tamakoku/famicon...tabaseframe.htm to get the pictures which makes my job easier. To the best of my knowledge, the first distinct US release that did not come out in Japan is Gumshoe, and that was in June of 1986, but I haven't gotten there yet. I would like to incorporate games like Gumshoe in to the reviews, so eventually they will start showing up. Thanks for the feedback.
