jbanes
It's almost Christmas time! I don't know about anyone else, but I got a shiny new Flashback 2 for Christmas last year. I enjoyed the heck out of it, and still use the joysticks on my 7800 and Commodore systems. Atari, if you're reading this, WE WANT A FLASHBACK 3! And not some cheap POS like the BasicFun design. (Honestly, I love BasicFun's mini-gameboard products. But the mini-FB units were the exact opposite of what the fans were asking for.) We want another unit from Curt. Heck, I'd love it if he also did an Intellivision Flashback, but I'll settle for just the FB3 for now. Yeah, so Curt's designs cost more than a cheap-o NOAC product. But we here at AtariAge love quality products. Most people I've talked to also prefer the quality of the FB2 to the poor NOAC results of the FB1. I myself, was uninterested in classic Atari gaming until I picked up a Flashback 2 unit. Thanks to the FB2, I've spent hundreds of dollars on gear that I would have otherwise ignored. So Atari, if you're reading this: WE WANT CURT VENDEL'S FLASHBACK 3! Flashback 2 GOOD. Flashback 1 NOT good. BasicFun BAD. Ok, I'm done venting now. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.
Paranoid
I second this response... and I'm sure that this reflects the basic opinion of most of the readers of this board.
Flojomojo
Thirded. While we're bashing the competition, I'd like to add that the Coleco Sonic 20-in-1 and the VGpocket Caplet have NOTHING on the mighty Atari Flashback 2. Not everyone understands retro games. Few people "get it" as well as the proprietor of the Atari Musuem, Curt Vendel. He has a proven track record with the FB2 and I hope he gets a chance to do it again with Fb3.
