I had one back in the day that could do it, one that teh guru up the road made for compute! magazine that, from what I can remember, was never published... It was too bad, it was the best font editor I remember using 17 years ago...

I'm not sure if there was ever a font editor in the magazines for that character mode, but I know that the SpeedScript(?) word processor from Compute! magazine used that character mode, so an editor may have been published in Compute!, or in one of the Compute! books? However, since the lowercase characters are displayed with the top two lines at the bottom, one way to do it with a normal font editor-- e.g., Envision-- would be to scroll the bytes of all the uppercase characters up 1 line, then scroll the lowercase characters down 1 line-- except for the ones with the descenders, scroll them down 2 lines-- and edit them as desired: ________ ___**___ __****__ _**__**_ _**__**_ _******_ _**__**_ ________ would become (after scrolling up 1 line) ___**___ __****__ _**__**_ _**__**_ _******_ _**__**_ ________ ________ and ________ ________ __*****_ _**__**_ _**__**_ __*****_ _____**_ _*****__ would become (after scrolling down 2 lines) _____**_ _*****__ ________ ________ __*****_ _**__**_ _**__**_ __*****_ then (if desired) edit it to make the main portion a little taller: _____**_ _*****__ ________ __*****_ _**__**_ _**__**_ _**__**_ __*****_ That way it would display as ________________ ________________ ___**___________ __****____*****_ _**__**__**__**_ _**__**__**__**_ _******__**__**_ _**__**___*****_ _____________**_ _________*****__ Michael
