oky2000
Bounty Bob cart today, lovely game + instant loading
awace
Last year I did purchase a 2600daptor Also I have a lot of carts I got off ebay Had this big plan to sell pacman and asteroid carts on ebay but then when i see them neatly stacked inside the blue rubber maid roughneck bin all neat and together witht the other carts I get senitmental and keep them lol. I did get some a 400's and got one working w 32K and almost good keybaord super small defect on D button just dented still works.. other a 400 has nother dent in d button but that works too normal 16k and the other one works but no keyboard... Both have new rf mods from the best ones of the rf mods in the 32k one and the other one is in my a800 so they now all have very good RF mods ... ALSO the Atari 2600 I have is the one i got in parts off ebay now has a flashback II with cart mod as b/w mode makes built in carts and color mode makes carts work then the ch3/ch4 switch now does the b/w mode since the flahsback II (2) has composite and sound out I used the ch3/ch4 switch for the black and white/ color switch.. I also scrapped all the cart wires off the pcb foil and soldered them all the the mod on the flahsback II I also rewired the b/w switch to have double pole double throw on each line so it worked to have the one jumper shorted wilst the other is open and in the other postition the 1st jumper os open and the other is closed so there both opposite connected to the switch .. and I saved the dioed and capacitor and the 740t or 7805 voltage regulator and used the 5v+ on the cap to supply the flahsback II so when you want to change carts you turn off unplug power pack then turn back on to kill cap then back off then insert power pack w power switch OFF then insert cart turn to built in games select a game the swithch insert cart should already be in befor epower LOL then switch to cart from started built in game .. I also have emulation on xp x64 bit I cant get 512x384 on my vizio but i can live w that .. I also have the puniter pc104 boot into ape and connected to a800 in room and have all my original atari disks on a dir i can load in atari dos 2 as H1: is directory of harddrive dir cause ape lets it do it. also i use telnet://thunderdome.homeip.net:471 remember to have firefox do this.. you all have fido mail from 1980 lol

toad
Just an update to my post 3549 - a little bragging, but the XEP80 that I bought untested - it works. The 65XE that I bought untested - it works. I also recently acquired a 130XE for $50 + shipping and it was listed with a bad keyboard, but a keyboard swap was all it needed - it works. I'm not bragging a lot, because I've also made a string of bad purchases in the past - I bought an XEGS that doesn't work right and another130XE that kinda sorta works, but it does weird things in some carts. Like Lothareks side 2, it claims the disks are in read-only mode. However, plug that same cartridge into a different computer and it does not have that specific problem. Well truth be told I've never had the Side 2 actually work with the Side Loader at all. But it does everything I'd expect in sdx mode. +slx
Not EBay but a local craigslist type of service found me an almost mint Action! cartridge with Manual (including software license sheet and registration card!) for 10€. Sold mine when I moved from 800 to ST and though I have santosp's OSS multicart there's nothing like the orange original. I can't really remember but did the original Action! package contain a floppy as well or was that sold separately?

Magic Knight
Nice - what are you using for the pens? The existing ones are dry and can be wetted slighly but run out real fast, im on the prowl for replacements. I can get a set from a german espon dealer, but they are like $30 for a set of 4 - so im looking elsewhere. I think Best and one or two US outlets have them, but i will try europe first to keep the costs down.# I have a list of the other external branded models which use these like the one commodore made (with the same innards) and several others, so eyes peeled for these and i can post on the forum if i find sets for a good price. (suggestions welcome!..) Edited September 10, 2013 by Magic Knight

+Stephen
Awesome - great to see someone getting a 1030 that is not using it to cut up and make a case for something else. The first time I ever experienced a BBS was on my friend's 1200XL with 1030 setup. Changed everything!
