+Guitarman
Question... In the MegaSTE with a 720k drive, are all the needed electronics there for a 1.44 drive or does it need the same mods as the earlier ST models??
tjlazer
depends on release date. The latter ones will be fine but also some earlier ones will be ok too. Best thing to do it try and see if it works reliably. There are chip numbers you can look up but cannot remember which ones at the moment... krupkaj
What kind of ide2scsi have you? In my TT I have graphics card in the bay where normally harddrive is and I use external 2GB scsi drive. So if there was a possibility to change it for a 2GB CF it would be very nice!

So if there was a possibility to change it for a 2GB CF it would be very nice! It's a yamaha scsi2ide interface. Bought it on ebay, apparently "new & unused". It worked first time on my tt and my mste with link 97 (detecting the cf card and so on). It's small in size, MUCH less noisy than a scsi disk. Oh, and it beats satandisk square in the nuts regarding speed
