  1. Looking at that photo, it appears as though the U1MB is installed above a Spectre video PCB. Interesting. I'm wondering if the same could be done with a UAV - or if the U1MB wouldn't be able to be installed above the SAVO PCB.
  2. And tnfs.online is up and running...
  3. Keeping my response brief: totally agreed. The abuses that happen tend to develop at the organisational level rather than at the operational one. Of course, the operational side is fed by the organisation, but that's a much wider topic of conversation
  4. They're still using them at DEF CON, or at least were as of last year Heh. That guy, very much with the emphasis on 'that'. These days, they're a lot more concerned with them (in the generic sense) than us, which is nice. That said (and my 'Government GTFO My Life' side is rather surprised that I'm saying this), they're generally OK if you're not on the receiving end.
  5. If you happen to have an XEGS keyboard you'd be willing to part with, please let me know. It doesn't have to be in 100% A+ condition, but as long as it's fully-working I'll be happy. Thank you!
  6. It's coming along nicely, and I now have a vendetta against the first jumping green robot Have you given consideration to an extra lives scheme? Not anything that would make it dead easy, but maybe one at the end of each level, or possibly tied to reaching a certain point and performing a certain action. The latter could be a risk / reward scenario depending on how it was done - have a control that awards a free life when operated, but make it a same-screen side quest, maybe? Toggle it on and off with the difficulty switch? Never mind - I found it Made it to End of Demo at 1051.
  7. Can't. Stop. Playing. This. I'm seriously looking forward to the final version
  8. My apologies - reading back, it looks as though I unintentionally caused some confusion on that front with my wording regarding 1.1. Agreed that there's only a single 4-port and single 2-port revision for two total
  9. Totally agreed, and that's why the 7800 wasn't made as a serious recommendation to begin with
  10. Oh, sure. Not arguing that point. But it does have an essentially full set of 2600 hardware in it - and using 2600 cartridges in it is functionally-equivalent to using a CX-55 in a 5200. Wouldn't go so far as to say it's the same, though. Granted, the CX-55 is pretty much a standalone 2600; the 7800 is more like the 2600's split-personality cousin.
  11. No worse than a 5200 with a CX-55 plugged in 😜
  12. Nothing against 'The Entertainer' as a piece of music, but it has been pretty heavily used in games from the dawn of in-game music. My suggestion would be to use something different. That said, the TIA version above is pretty good all things considered
