The most boring song ever released

I've just got in the mail today an album with one 69-minute-long track on it. I'm past the 20 minute mark on listening to it, and basically what it is is just one deep bass 20-minute-long note (so far) and a few noises thrown in for good measure so as to try and mask its boringness. But I can see through its boringness and say that it is pretty boring. I'm listening to "Digital Superimposing" by Superficial Depth. And I've bought another hour-long song. This one is 74-minutes, and hopefully it will be less boring than this one turned out to be. I hope it actually is avant-garde metal rock like it was advertised. The album is called "Delirium Cordia" by Fantomas, and it has one 74-minute-long track called "Surgical Sound Specimens from the Museum of Skin." So anyway, it's now up to 27 minutes and it seems like the same noise is playing as was on the 20-minute mark. I was looking on eBay for some other stuff, and some CDs run into about $30-$40 because they're so rare, so I'm not going to get them. Now I'm at the 30 minute mark and there seems to be some actual instruments playing now, along with the same drone that apparently covers the whole track. I'll keep listening to it.

Is this something creative people do? Sit through the most mind numbing experience possible so their thoughts gush out under the sheer pressure of banality?

Well, I didn't think it would be this boring. And, after listening to the song in its entirety, it had some unboring spots. Plus, I bought the album, so I might as well listen to it and tell you what I thought of it.

This reminds me of what I read yesterday about old "Albums". Before there were LP's, an album was basically a set of 78 RPM records holding one song on each side. For example, the broadway cast album for "Oklahoma" consisted of 6 78 RPM discs with a total running time of about 37 minutes. You certainly weren't able to fit such a long song on an album like that back then.
