I'm having horrible luck trying to get the life and coin counter appear in level 3 without flickering like crazy. Nevertheless, I did get one thing done that I wanted to do. I wanted to get rid of the thick line at the right side of the screen in level 2. Now it only shows up as part of the pipe to exit level 2 with. This, however, does not really help with the level 3 problem. I tried countless things and nothing really worked like I wanted it to. Here are some pictures of the life and coin counter. I cropped these so only what you actually see on real hardware with a real TV is visible. Some extra stuff shows up in emulation, but not on a real TV.
