Odd music times

So I was composing a song, and I needed a time of 4.5/4. I like making music in weird times. I've done recently 5/8 and 7/4. So back to my problem. The software wasn't letting me have fractions within fractions. So I went to 5/8. That didn't work. 6/8 didn't work either. I went all the way to 11/8, which worked. I still think it should have been 4.5/4. It would have been a whole lot easier. I hate math. And yet I like Square One TV. Go figure. So anyway, the time ended up being 11 eighth notes per measure. So I guess that it being 11/8 time makes sense now that I think about it. I forgot most of the measure times thing when I quit taking piano lessons. I still can read treble notes but I have trouble with bass. So for placing bass notes, I have to rely on the program to tell me the position of the bass notes. I wanted to get out my SNES. It was in the garage. So were bees. So I got the Raid and sprayed the bees but they just wouldn't die. Or perhaps they were flies. I don't know. They sure were buzzing like bees and I didn't want to get stung. Perhaps I'll go back in and see if they died yet.

There are no such things as "sub-fractional" meters. Mainly because it doesn't make sense. However, you could do a compound meter, which would achieve what you seem to be trying to do. Something like couplets of 4/4 + 1/8 (which would be bizarre in itself).
