Room #13
I found this article made about my game quite interesting. http://retrogamingmagazine.com/2014/08/06/new-game-castle-of-doom-continues-development-on-atari-2600/ Anyway, the guy who wrote it wants to do an interview with me. This should also be interesting. (The last one was in French, so I couldn't read it!) I just added room #13 to the game, and room #12 was added yesterday. The game is going well, the hardest part right now is room designing. I have 1,546 bytes left for room designs, so I don't know if I can fit 30 rooms in there or not. In the last blog, I wrote about how I used to design levels for non-existant Super Mario Bros. games. But I guess I'm out of practice since room designing for this game is beginning to be quite challenging. The game right now is 8k, but I may want to make it 16k. A weird thing is that the size of banks seems to grow with each increment of k's. Like for example, if I decide to make this a 16k game, I will have more room in the last bank than in an 8k game. I find that odd. Anyway, a link to the game's website is on www.atari2600land.com, so it should be easy to get to.
