Making a cartoon
I woke up at 2 pm and had an idea. I am going to make a cartoon. But since I was tired, I went back to sleep. This morning I began work on it. I have to do everything: The voices, the drawings, the timing, the sound effects. I was originally going to have music, but since I want to put it on YouTube when it's done, I nixed the music idea. Even though I wanted to put classical music in like they did with the early Ren and Stimpy ones. Well, anyway, I have the first 11 seconds done. I want to make it the length of a "normal" cartoon, or something from Adult Swim, like Superjail! for instance. I think the total run time for these is 11 minutes. So anyway, I have 10 minutes and 49 seconds left to do. So I thought I'd share what I have so far with you all. Here's the plot: A bird sits atop his friend, a sign, in the middle of the desert in the middle of nowhere, where weird things happen to them. Like for instance, an alien landing. Only on rare occasions do people drive by the stop sign, like for instance, a typewriter falling off a truck allows Bird to type a novel. This first episode is going to introduce the characters and I'm going to have them do wacky stuff. This 11 seconds took about 50 drawings. Some of them, though, like Bird's mouth movements, are repeated. This ended up being more fun than I expected it to be. Check it out. http://www.atari2600land.com/birdsign/animated.html
