I normally save .GIF files to my HD and then import them into Word, which will also saves in .PDF format, but I can see how this can be a great help.

There are a couple of other utilities for working with PDF files you might want to play with as well.

1) http://www.pdfmerge.com/

This one will let you stick multiple PDF files together.

2) http://www.pdfonline.com/pdf-to-word-converter/

This one is kind of cool too, it'll convert a PDF to Word so you can edit it.

These are all cool sites, thanks :-) I think http://online-pdf.org should also be added to the list, as far as I can tell it can do all the things mentioned above and mostly I'm satisfied with the results (although I have yet to encounter a perfect pdf to word converter - it's workable).
