PSX: This is hard

So I spent literally all night coding for Jack and the Beanstalk for PS1. I started at 9pm and didn't stop until like 4:30am. Then I went to sleep at 5 and got up at 5. The trouble I was having I think appears to be over with, at least in the coding department. There was a rather nasty bug that appeared in the intro where it was displaying the full sprite set for Jack's animation on the right hand side of the screen for no reason. I spent 7 hours trying to get rid of it but I couldn't. But I finally did and went to sleep. When I got up, I remembered I forgot to check once Jack heads left in the intro, and, sure enough, the bug reappeared. So that was another 2 hours of trying to do various stuff to get rid of it and I think it's gone now. But my troubles aren't over yet. It looks as though I'll have to mod my PS1. I have never modded anything before, so I would like to send it somewhere, but since the shipping would be so atrocious and there seems to be plenty of unwanted, used PS1s that I think I'll try it myself. This means purchasing a soldering iron and solder. And if I mess up, then it should be fairly easy to get another used, boxy, gray PS1 somewhere. But first, I need to find the mod chip. And even though I was asleep all day, I'm still tired and my eye is beginning to hurt again. I think I'll go eat something before it hurts so bad I don't want to eat anything. Remember, you can get the latest version of Jack and the Beanstalk at its page: http://www.atari2600land.com/jackandthebeanstalk/
