the return of a magazine

So magazines are supposedly useless now when anyone can just go to the internet and get humor. Well, try telling that to Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon Magazine is returning to the newsstand.

This summer one of the biggest names in kids' entertainment makes its triumphant return to the newsstand-NICKELODEON MAGAZINE is back! Part of a comprehensive, multi-year publishing partnership between Nickelodeon and Papercutz, the new NICKELODEON MAGAZINE debuts this June. Each issue is chock full of the exciting content kids love: exclusive comics featuring the hottest Nickelodeon animated properties including SANJAY & CRAIG and the hilarious BREADWINNER, puzzles, games and other fun activities featuring all your favorite NICK characters, and special behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming series!!

The issue will make its debut sometime in late June. The old one ceased publication with the last issue made December 2009/January 2010 issue. I used to have issue 1 of the original Nickelodeon Magazine, but I don't any more. I was a subscriber when I was a kid up until about 1999 or so. While it isn't Nintendo Power, it will have to do. I think I'll buy a copy just to see what it's like. And it had better be not just all comics. Because that would be just stupid. But do you know what would be really cool? If for its anniversary, they would have a lineup of all their old shows like You Can't Do That on Television and stuff. But then, the kids would go "what is this junk?" and "Where's SpongeBob?" Sigh.
