Mr. Ultra returns
So it had been a while since I last checked the SMS and Everdrive forums for my inability to play Mr. Ultra on a real Game Gear. So I did, hoping to find a solution but wasn't expecting one, but I got one. As it turns out, the Game Gear Everdrive does not like small file names. So you have to rename the files in order to play them. Like I did. I renamed the latest mrultra.gg file on the Mr. Ultra website to mrultramrultramrultra.gg. Lo and behold, it worked! This was the first time I had played the game on a real Game Gear with the correct colors. Level 3 is kind of hard at first, but once you know the trick to beating it, it comes naturally. Level 4 has the same trick as level 3. So I have decided to resume work on this. But what should I do next? I have an idea for an enemy though: Instead of walking and jumping, I'll make a vegetable (haven't decided which one yet) with wings and have it swoop down at you and you jump over it as it swoops down at you. I don't know what type of level to make it, though. So far I have Funky Forest, Marvelous Mountain, Groovy Gulch and Bodacious Beach. But anyway, I'm just glad I can play the Game Gear game I had been working on for a few weeks on a real Game Gear. The reason why I stopped working on it was because I couldn't.
