Supper Mario "engine" finished

It took a few more hours, but I think I finally got the basic code for Supper Mario finished. Trouble came when it kept giving me one spiny instead of three after you get a mushroom. A little bit more trouble came when the switch from mushroom sprite to spiny sprite happened a bit early. I changed it so it happens off screen so it doesn't magically turn into a spiny right before it goes off screen. So now the basic game appears. The trick is to not touch the spinies. I made it so later they fall faster, so if you get stuck between a couple, you have to join them going off screen, like in this picture:

The trick to getting a high score is to always be in the center of the screen whenever possible so you can prepare for what might happen next. This was my idea all along, and I think I finally can call the basic code finished. Now to wait for suggestions...

If Mario is going for supper, perhaps you'd like to develop a variation of Butamaru Pants. You've already got the clouds and the moving spiny that could replace the crab. Just add a frying pan and some Koopas (alternatively princess Peach and her sisters) throwing down eggs from the clouds.
