Arise, O great celery!
So the storm came and went. Today there was actually thunder, and on Friday and Saturday some trees fell down, but we didn't lose any power. It wasn't a very big storm, though. The way they were hyping it up you'd expect a hurricane to come through. Well, it didn't. At least not here in Salem. Here it was just your run of the mill storm. A few days ago, I thought to myself, why don't I try working on that celery game I was making in bB where the celery ran around like Mario? So I did. I got frustrated a few days ago and quit, but today I was back at it. I was trying to make the scrolling better. I think I did it, at least I fixed levels 1-4. Levels 5-6 will be worked on at some other point where my head doesn't hurt. I think I thought too much. Actually, Level 4 was perfect. I am thinking Level 7 will be the final level, where Mr. Celery faces off against a giant pig, similar to the way he fights the lava monster in level 4. I don't have much room to make new levels. I have 179 bytes left in bank 8. But banks 5, 6, and 7 are completely empty. Right now for debugging purposes, I have put in a level selector that will be removed for the final game. There is a bug with the level selector involving choosing level 1, then resetting, then choosing level 2, but since I'm not putting it in the final version, I will not work on it. I bet with DPC+ I could make a way better game, but I don't want to because: A.) I started programming the game before DPC+ came along and I don't want to go through over 2,000 lines of code, and B.) I feel like that's cheating, and C.) If I ever make and sell the game, it would be easier to make not using a DPC+ chip. So anyway, download the game, look at the game, comment on the game.
