Now I know why.

So I figured I'd go on the other old computer I have. It's so old, it runs on Vista. It had to check a disk for consistency. "Yeah, it's consistent. On being stupid," I remarked as it did its stupid thing. Finally I got in. So I went to the folder with all the crosswords I had in it. Well, the 15x15 ones anyway. The file folder's name is "15x15." I decided to go back and do some of the old hard ones I had made a few years ago. I had forgotten the answers to them, so I looked at them with a fresh mind. While not as good as the quality of the ones in the paper (I was working on making stunt puzzles rather than going for quality) it was still fun to go back and do them. I thought when I first made them they would be hard, so I named the site "Chris's monthly hard ones." The couple I did weren't very hard at all. The only hard parts were the long answers, which I got since short answers were connected to them. So even if nobody does these, my future self will. And I hope I will have fun. And if for some reason you actually want to do these and are into crosswords like I am, you can find the site I mentioned here: http://atari2600land.com/crosswords/monthlyhardones/index.html
The answers are also posted. There's a new one every month. I forgot to post one I had from this June so I went and did that. And I finished another one that I will put on the site on December 1 (three weeks from now.) So now I know why I make these even if nobody else will do them: Because I eventually will go back to them and do them. And December's puzzle will have a theme. I originally did about half and then forgot about it. So I went and finished it. And you can realize my anger when I spelled "chastised" wrong (I spelled it "chastized." Really? An S?) So I had to go redo the half I had worked so hard on doing. Half of the problem was thinking of a word with the letter Z in that position. Once I did that, I had to make it fit with the rest of the puzzle. (The Z had to be in there because it was connected to one of the puzzle's theme words.) But I eventually did it.
