Giuseppe returns!
Working on Super Mario 64 2600 reminded me of the old Odyssey 2 game I tried and failed at called "Super Giuseppe." The reason I failed is because even though the game was completed, it still flashed a lot on real hardware and stuff ended up being wrong. That was a few years ago. Today I dusted off that idea and began to redo the entire game from scratch. Of course, since I just began today, all I have is this:
Giuseppe can walk around the screen and jump. I added walking animation. His jumping is just like Mario's, if you let go of the action button, gravity takes effect and Giuseppe begins to move down. Of course, I don't really like the name Giuseppe, but it's the only other Italian name I could think of. I don't know, perhaps Giorgio could work better. I guess it doesn't have to be Italian. I could just name it Super George. Well, anyway, there's a long road ahead, both for me and George. Holes will eventually get into George's path, and I will add coins and enemies. And clouds. And scrolling. But for now, I have this. 467 or so bytes of pure Odyssey 2 goodness. Because it works.
